JOB PURPOSE
Ensure executing optimized civil engineering system for rail projects fully integrated andcomplying with industry standards and contractual obligations.
Roles & Responsibilities1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring Inspect railway construction activities such as:Track formation and subgrade Ballast and sub-ballast layers Concrete works (foundations, sleepers, culverts, bridges) Drainage systems Ensure work complies with project specifications and approved drawings. Monitor contractors’ work to verify quality standards.2. Material Quality Control Inspect and approve construction materials including:Ballast Concrete Reinforcement steel Geotextiles Subgrade materials Review material submittals and certificates. Coordinate laboratory testing (soil compaction, concrete strength, etc.).3. Testing & Documentation Witness and verify field tests such as:Soil compaction tests Concrete slump tests Cube compression tests Plate load tests Maintain proper documentation of test results and inspection reports.4. Quality Assurance Procedures Implement project Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with standards such as:International Organization for Standardization (ISO) ISO 9001 Quality Management System Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and checklists.5. Non-Conformance Control Identify and report Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). Recommend corrective and preventive actions. Ensure rectification of defective works.6. Coordination with Project Teams Work with:Site engineers Design consultants Contractors Client representatives Attend quality meetings and technical discussions.7. Review of Construction Documents Review:Shop drawings Method statements Material submittals Ensure compliance with railway engineering standards.8. Final Inspection & Handover Participate in pre-commissioning inspections. Verify completion according to design and quality standards. Prepare quality dossiers for project handover.3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS
Education/ Qualifications B. SC in Civil Engineering
Professional Certification ICT: CCNA – RCDD or equivalent Work Experience: 7-10 Years of Experience in design and implementation of Telecomsystems (ICT/ELV) in rail projects.
- Broad knowledge of Railway Track Infrastructure- In depth experience in ELV and Industrial Automation Systems
Language Excellent command of English language Computer Skills Microsoft Office Oracle ACONEX Platform
