Role Description We are seeking an experienced Food Product Development Manager to lead R&D operations and drive product innovation across our portfolio. This is a strategic role for a technically strong professional who can translate market insights into commercially successful food products.
Key Responsibilities:End-to-End Product Development:Lead the full product lifecycle from concept, formulation, pilot trials, and validation to full industrial scale-up. Innovation & Reformulation:Develop new products and optimize existing SKUs to enhance taste, texture, stability, and nutritional profile while maintaining brand positioning. Industrial Scale-Up:Ensure smooth transition from lab-scale prototypes to mass production with consistent quality and efficiency. Cost & Margin Optimization:Control raw material selection, process efficiency, and reformulation strategies to optimize COGS without compromising product integrity. Compliance & Quality:Ensure adherence to ISO, HACCP, and all local & international food safety regulations. Cross-Functional Leadership:Partner closely with Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to align innovation with business strategy.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field. • 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in Food R&D/Product Development (FMCG background preferred). • Strong knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, preservation systems, and shelf-life studies. • Proven experience in industrial scale-up and factory trials. • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
