Job Summary:
IT System Admin plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organization's information technology systems. With a primary focus on maintaining a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment, the IT Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of various hardware, software, and network components.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration
Administer and maintain servers, workstations, and related infrastructure components. Implement and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Network Management
Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure data security. Implement and manage network protocols and services.
Security and Compliance
Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard the organization's IT assets. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Technical Support
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues. Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex technical issues.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans. Regularly test backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Documentation
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, network, configurations, procedures and develop and update IT policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in IT administration and support roles. Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system administration. Proficiency in administering Windows Server, Linux, or other server operating systems. Proven experience in routing and switching configurations and troubleshooting. Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management and configuration (Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud) Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). English: Minimum B2 level is a must
