We're building an EdTech e-commerce platform — a B2B2C marketplace with complex order flows, multi-gateway payments, installments, wallets, and role-based access. Laravel 10 backend (100+ endpoints, 95+ models), Angular frontend. This is a small, high-impact team. You'll work directly with the founder and alongside a strong senior backend developer. No layers of management — just building. You Will Own features end-to-end across Laravel and Angular Architect and scale payment pipelines (installments, refunds, coupons, multi-currency wallets) Integrate payment gateways (MyFatoorah, UPayments) and third-party APIs (Vimeo) Design secure APIs with RBAC, Sanctum/Passport authentication Improve and refactor an existing production codebase — not a rewrite, smart evolution Enforce code quality standards and collaborate closely with the engineering team Requirements4+ years PHP/Laravel with production e-commerce or payments experience Advanced Eloquent, queues, events, service patterns Strong Angular — state management, lazy loading, reactive forms, RxJSAdvanced MySQL — query optimization, indexing, polymorphic relations, migrations at scale Comfortable working in a legacy codebase — able to refactor and improve incrementally API security, rate limiting, and authentication best practices System design thinking — can make architectural decisions independently Git, CI/CD, code review experience Clear English communication Nice to Have EdTech or marketplace experience MENA payment gateways (MyFatoorah, Tap, UPayments) Spatie ecosystem (Permission, Media Library, Translatable) PHPUnit / automated testing Arabic language Experience using AI tools to accelerate development
