Role ObjectiveThe Business Development Specialist will support the expansion of our vendor network by identifying, engaging, and onboarding potential partners across key categories. By leveraging market insights, data, and strong communication skills, the role contributes to sustainable growth and strengthens our competitive position in the food delivery landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential restaurants and food brands that align with user demand and category growth priorities.
- Support negotiations on commission rates, SLAs, settlement terms, and promotional commitments in coordination with senior team members.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects, ensuring accurate updates and timely progress tracking in CRM tools.
- Share complete and accurate partner information (menus, contacts, deal terms) with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth go-live process.
- Monitor competitor activity, emerging food trends, and market players to refresh and improve the acquisition pipeline.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support campaigns and drive early traction for newly onboarded partners.
- Track acquisition performance against monthly targets and escalate risks or opportunities to the senior team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in business development, sales, or partnerships — preferably within food tech, e-commerce, or FMCG.
- Good knowledge of the food delivery landscape in Egypt is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
- Comfortable with CRM tools, Excel, and tracking funnel performance metrics.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
