JOB PURPOSE:
The Procurement Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s procurement function, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. This role drives strategic sourcing, aligns procurement with business objectives, and ensures sustainable, value-driven practices that support operational excellence and organizational growth.
Profile
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Strategic Procurement Operations & Sourcing Leadership
•Strategize and lead the full procurement lifecycle to ensure transparency, efficiency, and total alignment with company policies and project requirements.
•Prioritize procurement categories and set sourcing strategies to ensure optimal supplier selection based on technical, financial, and strategic criteria.
•Supervise and guide the procurement team in the preparation and validation of purchase orders to maintain rigorous accuracy and compliance.
•Lead the effort to secure the best commercial and contractual terms while maintaining quality, delivery, and cost control targets.
Supplier Relationship Management & Localization
•Lead supplier management initiatives, including qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring to ensure sustainable, high-performing partnerships.
•Develop strategic relationships with key vendors and identify new suppliers, prioritizing local sourcing and diversification to reduce risk and dependency.
•Strategize with Engineering to find alternative suppliers beyond traditional OEMs, searching for new potential partners in Egypt to support local production.
•Negotiate commercial and contractual terms to achieve optimal value, mitigate risks, and ensure fairness, while tracking and resolving delivery issues.
Planning, Financial Oversight & Market Intelligence
•Execute and develop annual and project-specific procurement plans that align with company priorities and budget constraints.
•Oversee cost analysis, price benchmarking, and market assessments to support strategic decision-making and cost-saving initiatives.
•Strategize the delivery of accurate reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management to enhance transparency and accountability.
Governance, Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
•Lead and coach the procurement team to strengthen technical capabilities, accountability, and performance excellence while ensuring full ethical and legal compliance.
•Establish and maintain standardized procurement processes, templates, and reporting frameworks to enhance efficiency and consistency across the organization.
•Drive continuous improvement and automation opportunities while collaborating with Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Operations to align strategies.

•Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
•Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
KNOWLEDGE:
•Advanced command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and professional purchasing/ERP systems.
•Deep knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and market trend analysis.
EXPERIENCE:
•7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles (inclusive of the required 3+ years in a senior or supervisory position).
•Proven expertise in negotiation, stakeholder management, and leading supplier performance evaluation frameworks.
