Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Finance Advisor to support EPC + Finance transactions for large infrastructure and industrial projects in Africa and the Middle East.
The role is advisory and hands-on, focused on structuring, validating, and supporting deals involving Chinese EPC contractors and financing institutions.
This is not a full-time employment role. It is suitable for a senior consultant or independent advisor with real transaction exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on EPC + Finance deal structures for industrial and infrastructure projects
Support project bankability assessment (risk, guarantees, cash flow logic)
Review and comment on LOIs, MOUs, EPC contracts, and financing structures
Participate in selected calls or meetings with EPC contractors, lenders, or project owners
Advise on guarantees (sovereign, bank, escrow, offtake) and risk mitigation
Support alignment between project owners, EPCs, and financing parties
Qualifications
Required Experience (Essential)
Candidates must have proven experience in at least some of the following:
Worked on EPC + Finance or project finance deals
Direct exposure to Chinese EPC contractors and/or Chinese lenders
Infrastructure or industrial projects (e.g. cement, power, steel, manufacturing, ports)
Projects in Africa and/or the Middle East
Understanding of SPVs, guarantees, escrow accounts, and offtake agreements
Additional Information
Preferred Background
Former role in EPC commercial management, project finance, export credit, or infrastructure advisory
Experience working with policy banks, ECAs, or large international contractors
Ability to work independently and give practical, deal-oriented advice
Engagement Model
Part-time / advisory / project-based
Monthly retainer and/or success-based compensation (to be agreed)
Remote with occasional calls or meetings as required
