Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computational Designer with expertise in developing and implementing advanced workflows within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry to join the Automation Team within the Digital Practice / IT Department in Cairo. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple disciplines, focusing on optimizing design processes, enhancing collaboration, and driving automation across projects.
Responsibilities:
Develop advanced solutions that improve project design delivery, quality and efficiency. Create innovative scripts, tools, and solutions to automate and optimize design workflows. Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies, techniques and plugins. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex design and coordination challenges. Continuously learn and implement new methodologies, techniques, and workflows when standard solutions are not available, pushing the boundaries of design and construction. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, communicate ideas clearly, and document technical processes and workflows.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture (A master’s degree in computational design is a major advantage). Exceptional proficiency in visual programming, particularly Grasshopper (Rhino and Rhino.inside Revit). Advanced programming skills in C# and/or Python for developing custom solutions. Proven experience in generative design and topologic workflows. Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit, Rhino, and other 3D modelling software. Strong knowledge and experience in the AEC industry. Demonstrate ability to lead research initiatives, develop and test new tools, plugins, and modelling techniques. Proven track record of innovative thinking and effective problem-solving within a technical design context. Strong adaptability to learn new software, tools, and design methods. Advanced verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
Up to 7 years of experience working within a collaborative AEC team environment. Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary design workflows and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Advanced experience in, and knowledge of the latest trends, methods, and technologies in automation and computational design.
