Job Description:
A detail-oriented Technical Office Engineer with 3 years of experience in the furniture manufacturing industry, specializing in preparing accurate Bills of Quantities for kitchens, wardrobes, and custom furniture projects. Skilled in cost estimation, material take-offs, and coordination with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and project accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for furniture projects, including kitchens, dressings, and custom units.
- Analyze drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to extract accurate quantities.
- Calculate material requirements (wood panels, hardware, accessories, finishes, and fittings).
- Coordinate with design, production, and sales teams to align BOQs with project requirements.
- Support cost estimation and pricing for tenders and client quotations.
- Review and update BOQs based on design changes or site conditions.
- Assist the procurement team with material specifications and quantities.
- Ensure BOQs comply with company standards and project budgets.
- Maintain BOQ databases and cost records for reference and analysis.
