Senior Cost Accountant
Job Summary:
The Senior Cost Accountant will play a vital role in managing cost accounting functions, preparing accurate financial analyses, and supporting decision-making across production and supply chain operations. This position requires deep knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis for raw materials, labor, and overheads.
• Maintain standard costs and update as necessary based on production trends and changes.
• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost capturing.
• Review inventory valuations, track variances, and investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting cycles.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide actionable insights to management for cost optimization and margin improvement.
• Support audits and internal reviews by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CMA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.
• Solid understanding of standard costing, cost variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial data effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (very good to excellent).
