The Reporting Officer is responsible for managing the Daily Progress Reporting (DPR), collecting and validating daily reports from all project areas, tracking permit status and workforce deployment, and producing accurate consolidated summary reports for management review and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Progress Reporting (DPR) Management
Collect DPRs daily from all assigned project areas.
Ensure reports are submitted on time and in the approved format.
Review data completeness, consistency, and logical accuracy.
Coordinate with area engineers to clarify missing or inconsistent entries.
2. Permit Receiving Status Tracking
Track daily permit receiving status for each area.
Maintain an updated log of:
Permits received
Permits pending
Permits rejected or delayed
Highlight permit-related constraints impacting daily progress.
3. Crew & Resource Utilization Reporting
Collect daily data on:
Number of crews utilized per area
Validate workforce figures against DPR submissions.
Identify abnormal utilization trends or manpower inefficiencies.
4. Progress Summary & Consolidation
Prepare a daily consolidated summary report covering:
Overall progress status by area
Permit receiving status
Crew distribution summary
Key delays, risks, or observations
Ensure clarity, consistency, and management-level readability.
5. Management Reporting & Communication
Submit daily summary reports to management within the agreed timeline.
Support management with accurate data for:
Performance analysis
Productivity assessment
Decision-making and corrective actions
Responding to management queries related to DPR data.
6. System & Data Discipline
Maintain structured records within the DPR system.
Support continuous improvement of DPR templates and reporting workflows.
