Egypt Education Platform is excited to announce the opening for a Learning Support Assistant commencing in February 2026 at GEMS British International School of Madinaty. We are looking for an enthusiastic and supportive individual who is dedicated to enhancing the learning experiences of students with diverse educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, facilitating their access to the curriculum and promoting independent learning Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons and classroom materials to suit the varied learning styles and abilities of students Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional assistance Observe and monitor student progress, behavior, and engagement, providing constructive feedback to teaching staff Encourage and support positive social interactions among students, helping them to build their confidence and teamwork skills Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in learning support Help maintain an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that meets the needs of all students

Requirements

A relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a related discipline is preferred Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or a similar role in an educational setting is highly advantageous Understanding of various learning difficulties and effective intervention strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, teachers, and parents Demonstrable patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students' learning journeys Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and adapt to the changing dynamics of a classroom environment Commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment where every student can thrive
