Role Purpose

To manage different PS/EPC projects including implementation, integration and acceptance of new nodes (SGSN/MME/GGSN/SPGW/DNS/DPI/Optimizer) over legacy / virtualized platforms & handle packet core expansions, software & hardware upgrades from planning perspective. To act as Technical consultant for the Packet Core teams by recommending new innovative solutions for any raised problem.




Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

  • Develop Mobile Network Nodes Changes and configuration procedures

  • Create optimization opportunities for Mobile Data Networks to make sure network is operating at best shape and providing the best customer experience

  • Handle full Packet Core nodes integrations to Eco-system and introduction of new nodes

  • Manage full acceptance of each network element making sure 100% compliance in functionality and safe operation when loaded with traffic

  • Document all network changes and maintain the documentation

  • Meet Capacity plans timelines and support delivery teams for best time to market as main objective

  • Recommend innovative, optimum solutions with a maximum level of simplicity that meet network and customer requirements

  • Investigate consistent network issues and recommend optimum solutions to overcome them

  • Troubleshoot network cases and support performance teams in network performance

  • Align with Design & Architecture teams to always serve the best for the target network architecture

  • Ensure adherence to VF policies, change management processes and security standards

  • Study and implement commercial MI products on PS nodes.

  • Study and implement new features & optimization initiatives.

  • Responsible for all interactions with vendors / VF Group regarding new solutions, services & products,

  • Quality, due dates and interpersonal skills are the main KPIs



Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 7+ Years of experience in Mobile internet domain

  • Solid and Proven knowledge of mobile network all generations (2G/3G/4G/5G) with hands on configuration

  • Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (NFV & Cloud)

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • High team work and performing through people

  • Solid experience in Core Signaling Architecture

  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
