About the Role We are looking for a Sales Operations Engineer to support our commercial and technical sales activities for custom metal fabrication projects. This role combines technical understanding, quoting, basic engineering work, and client coordination. You will play a key role in preparing quotations, supporting engineering documentation, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring leads and orders move smoothly from inquiry to production. This is a hands-on role ideal for engineers who want exposure to both manufacturing and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Quoting & Sales Support Prepare quotations based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Coordinate with manufacturing partners to obtain pricing and lead times. Apply pricing rules and margin guidelines provided by management. Send quotations to clients and follow up regularly. Update and maintain CRM records and deal status. Support invoicing and coordinate with finance for payment follow-ups.
Engineering Support Create and modify 2D technical drawings for manufacturing. Create and modify 3D CAD models using Solid Works. Review client files and prepare them for supplier and production use. Identify missing technical details and communicate with clients for clarification. Support basic feasibility and manufacturability checks.
Coordination & Execution Communicate with clients regarding technical and commercial clarifications. Coordinate internally with operations and quality teams for order execution. Track order progress and support delivery coordination when needed.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Good understanding of manufacturing and metal fabrication processes is preferred. Strong ability to read and prepare technical drawings. Solid Works is required (ability to work on both 3D models and 2D drawings). Comfortable using Excel and learning ERP/CRM systems. Good communication skills in Arabic; English is a strong plus. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up with suppliers and clients.
