-Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Landscape Design Engineer to join our design team and contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of outdoor spaces for residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate must have strong technical design capabilities, understanding of plant species and hardscape elements, and awareness of Saudi Building Code requirements and GCC climatic considerations.
Key Responsibilities :Prepare conceptual and detailed landscape designs for outdoor areas including softscape and hardscape elements- Develop planting plans, irrigation layouts, grading plans, lighting layouts, and material specifications- Prepare construction drawings, design packages, BOQs, details, sections, and specifications- Select plant species suitable for environmental, climatic, and sustainability factors- Coordinate with architectural, civil, MEP, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrated outdoor design solutions- Review and approve landscape-related shop drawings, material submittals, and samples- Conduct hydraulic calculations for irrigation systems and coordinate water demand with MEP teams- Participate in design review meetings and provide recommendations to optimize cost, functionality, and aesthetics- Provide technical support during project execution and conduct occasional site visits to verify design compliance- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, sustainability requirements, and Saudi Building Code guidelines- Prepare presentations, visualizations, and project documentation for client reviews when needed
Qualification & Experience :- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline- Minimum 5 years of experience in landscape design for building or urban projects- Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), regional landscaping standards for arid climates, and GCC authority guidelines (where applicable)- Proficiency in Auto CAD; Revit, Civil 3D, Sketch Up/Rhino/3ds Max preferred; GIS tools is a plus- Experience in preparing softscape and hardscape design packages for residential & commercial developments, public realm & streetscape, hospitality & recreational facilities- Knowledge of irrigation systems, planting species selection, and water-efficient landscaping- Strong coordination and documentation skills- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points)- Experience with GCC/KSA-based projects- Knowledge of sustainable landscaping solutions & water conservation methods- Familiarity with LEED, Estidama, SITES, or similar sustainability frameworks- Experience with authority submissions in KSA or UAE
