Job Purpose
The Logistics Section Head is responsible for leading and managing all logistics operations related to finished products, raw materials, gemstones, and components. The role ensures secure, timely, and cost-effective transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and distribution while complying with company policies, regulatory requirements, and the high-security standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team, ensuring clear roles, KPIs, and performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost optimization, and service levels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, Security, and Retail) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Logistics & Operations Management
- Oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, raw materials, and gemstones.
- Ensure secure handling, storage, and transportation of high-value items in line with industry’s best practices.
- Manage local and international shipments, including coordination with freight forwarders, couriers, and secure logistics providers.
- Plan and manage distribution to retail stores, wholesale partners, exhibitions, and international markets.
Warehousing & Inventory Coordination
- Ensure effective coordination with warehouses to maintain accurate inventory records and stock integrity.
- Implement controls to minimize losses, damages, and discrepancies.
- Oversee packing standards, labeling, and documentation for high-value items.
Customs, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs laws, and import/export requirements.
- Manage customs clearance processes, duties, and documentation efficiently.
- Work closely with Security and Risk teams to mitigate logistics-related risks and ensure insurance coverage where required.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit, SOX (if applicable), and corporate governance requirements.
Cost & Vendor Management
- Prepare and manage the logistics budget, monitoring costs against targets.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with logistics service providers.
- Evaluate and manage vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Reporting & Systems
- Establish and monitor logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, cost per shipment, loss/damage rates, etc.).
- Prepare periodic reports for senior management on logistics performance and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective use of ERP and logistics systems for tracking, reporting, and compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.7-9 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management , or high-value products.Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs regulations, and secure logistics operations.
