• Conduct and coordinate detailed phases of I&C engineering work and supervise junior engineers.
• Review and understand technical specifications, client requirements, and project documentation.
• Study project specifications and drawings and prepare technical summaries to support procurement planning.
• Prepare I&C design deliverables for tender and detailed engineering stages.
• Develop motor/load lists, power distribution design, single-line diagrams, and short-circuit calculations.
• Design and size control and instrumentation cabling, including cable lists and BOQs.
• Review P&IDs, instrumentation, and control system designs and recommend improvements.
• Prepare automation system documentation including PLC I/O lists and PLC/SCADA system architecture layouts.
• Prepare and review all I&C drawings (loop diagrams, equipment layouts, cable tray drawings, control system architecture, instrument hook-ups, logic diagrams, etc.) in coordination with CAD designers.
• Ensure all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems comply with client specifications, international codes, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
• Liaise with subcontractors to obtain technical submissions and commercial offers.
• Prepare tender pricing and technical submissions in line with client requirements.
• Prepare electrical, instrumentation, control, and project engineering submittals for client approval.
• Support the development of control philosophy documentation for system programming.
• Prepare technical specifications and BOQs for material procurement.
• Evaluate vendor technical offers and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
• Review vendor drawings, documents, and technical submittals after purchase.
• Support commissioning teams during testing, troubleshooting, start-up, and final handover.
• Manage and coordinate engineering teams based on workload and technical specialization.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.5–7 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Control engineering.Proven experience in water and wastewater treatment projects or similar industrial sectors.Strong technical background in water and wastewater treatment processes.Solid understanding of control systems design, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and start-up.Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems.Ability to prepare and review I&C design deliverables for tender and detailed engineering stages.Good knowledge of international I&C codes, standards, and engineering best practices.Proficient in I&C software tools (e.g. INtools or similar systems).Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office applications.Experience in reviewing P&IDs, control philosophies, and automation system documentation.Ability to evaluate vendor technical offers and support procurement decisions.Experience in site support, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills.Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet project deadlines.
