- Contract & Scope Review: Review project documents, design briefs, and specifications to identify network system deliverables, constraints, and applicable standards.
- Requirement Analysis: Gather and interpret functional, operational, and performance requirements from clients and stakeholders and translate them into actionable design criteria.
- System Design Development: Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed network/system designs, including architecture layouts, device placement, and integration planning, while producing clear and organized design documentation.
- System Performance & Validation: Assess system performance, reliability, and scalability to ensure designs meet project objectives and operational expectations.
- Technical Proposal Development: Prepare design reports, technical narratives, and submissions for tenders, consultant reviews, and project approvals.
- BOQ & Documentation Development: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), equipment lists, and material take-offs aligned with approved designs.
- Equipment Selection: Identify and select appropriate network/system components to meet project requirements, integration needs, and performance standards.
- Value Engineering: Propose cost-effective alternatives or design modifications while maintaining performance, reliability, and compliance with project objectives.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors to obtain product information, validate selected solutions, and ensure alignment with design intent.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Plan and perform PoC testing of network/system components to confirm feasibility and performance expectations.
- Integration Coordination: Work with cross-functional design teams to ensure proper system integration and alignment with overall project design.
- Implementation Support: Review shop drawings, submittals, and method statements for alignment with approved designs, and provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Client & Consultant Engagement: Participate in technical meetings, workshops, and review sessions to present designs, clarify technical aspects, and incorporate feedback.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain organized design files, revision logs, and project documentation for proper traceability and workflow continuity.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.Experience: 3-5 years of total experience in Network system design.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of network/system design principles and architecture, and the ability to produce clear diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.Collaboration: Experience working effectively with cross-functional design teams.Certification (Preferred): Possession of an Industry Vendor-Accredited Certification is preferred.Competencies: Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective communication/presentation abilities.Language: Fluency in English is essential.
