Location: Libya Production Manager Experience in Plastic Recycling industry from 5-10 Years Job Title Operations and Production Manager – Al-Bardi Plastic Recycling Plant Job Purpose To oversee all daily production operations at the recycling plant to ensure efficient workflow, achieve the highest quality standards, minimize waste, and guarantee that production plans meet approved targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1- Planning and Supervision- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on market needs and the plant's operational capacity.- Monitoring the implementation of operational plans and ensuring adherence to targeted production rates.- Managing the production team and assigning tasks.- Taking responsibility for any production shortfalls, waste, or malfunctions resulting from negligence in machine maintenance. 2. Quality Control- Monitoring the quality of raw materials and finished products according to established quality standards (SOPs).- Ensuring the application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).- Following up on production line maintenance and coordinating with the technical department to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
3. Management and Development- Training workers on operating and safety procedures.- Improving workflow and increasing production efficiency through the development of work methods.- Addressing and resolving daily operational problems quickly and effectively.- Monitoring the inventory of raw materials and auxiliary materials and reporting shortages.4. Occupational Safety- Ensuring the application of all occupational safety and health procedures at the work site.- Monitoring the use of personal protective equipment by workers.- Reporting accidents or operational errors and taking corrective action.
5. Reporting and Communication- Preparing daily and weekly production reports and submitting them to senior management.- Communicating with other departments (Maintenance, Quality, Warehouses, Finance).- Monitoring and analyzing energy consumption and waste rates to improve performance.
6. Required Qualifications- University degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.- At least 5 years of experience in recycling plants or the plastics industry.- Leadership and team management skills.- Familiarity with Computer skills: Knowledge of quality and occupational safety procedures.
