Automation Engineer (BAW) – Tech Lead Location: Smart Village Company: Business Values Services (BVS) Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled BAW Tech Lead with deep proficiency in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) to lead our process management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the BAW platform, a strong ability to gather and discuss business requirements with stakeholders, and a proven track record of deploying BAW solutions to production.
Key Responsibilities:Deep Proficiency in IBM BAW: Leverage extensive experience with the BAW platform for effective process management. Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions using IBM automation tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define automation strategies that align with business objectives. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Evaluate and recommend new automation technologies and tools to enhance the existing automation landscape. Oversee the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and user guides. Monitor and troubleshoot automation processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation, with a focus on expanding knowledge beyond IBM tools. Participate in project planning and estimation activities, providing input on resource requirements and timelines.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong focus on IBM automation tools (e.g., BAW, RPA). Proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions in complex environments. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java or Python. In-depth knowledge of automation concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new automation technologies and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud automation platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure) and their automation services. Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
