Warehouse Supervisor

  1. Supervise and mentor warehouse teams and team leaders to ensure optimal performance, productivity, and alignment with company goals.
  2. Develop and implement strategic work plans and KPIs for warehouse teams to achieve departmental objectives.
  3. Oversee receiving, dispatch, inventory control, and space optimization to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  4. Monitor internal and external communications, including handling escalated client requests, resolving issues, and ensuring service levels are met.
  5. Maintain direct communication with key clients to ensure their operational requirements are met, including generating and reviewing service reports.
  6. Conduct routine inspections of warehouse operations to assess workflow, enforce safety and compliance standards, and implement corrective actions, as necessary.
  7. Coordinate with warehouse management to plan manpower needs, including requesting temporary labor based on operational demands.
  8. Manage procurement requests for warehouse supplies (e.g., packaging materials, tools, office stationery), ensuring timely availability within budget constraints.
  9. Balance workforce deployment and resource allocation across shifts and zones to prevent underutilization or overload.
  10. Oversee scheduling of shifts, vacations, and overtime, in coordination with team leaders, ensuring consistent coverage across all operations.
  11. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
  12. Lead shift start-up meetings in the absence of section supervisors, addressing operational challenges, updates, and safety alerts.
  13. Act as the escalation point for complex operational issues, resolving them independently or escalating to warehouse management when necessary.
  14. Participate in the performance evaluation and development planning of team leaders and key staff, in collaboration with the warehouse manager.
  15. Analyze and report on warehouse performance metrics, including occupancy rates, productivity trends, and efficiency improvements.
  16. Implement and maintain quality management system.
  17. Ensuring that relevant customer complaints are dealt with effectively
  18. Follow up the compliance with GDP/ GMP standards and instructions.  
  19. Comply with OH&S policy, standards, OH&S objectives, and training.
  20. Report any incidents (Accidents or near misses).    
  21. participate in relevant risk assessments
  22. Comply with environmental management’s standards, objectives, and training.
