- Monitor and manage outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment issues.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with customers while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, payment commitments, and customer communications in the system.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, finance, and customer service to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Prepare regular reports on collection status, aging analysis, and delinquency trends for management review.
- Recommend accounts for escalation, legal action, or write-off in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and relevant legal regulations during collection processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to improve collection rates and reduce bad debt.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities by providing accurate receivables data and analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.3 to 5 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the oil, energy, or industrial sectors.Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in handling confidential financial information.Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
