The Construction Manager supervises the activities of the Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen and crew leaders and is responsible for.
Ensures that all information on drawings is conveyed to the site Engineers in a proper manner and details are produced where required.
Achieves the quality of work required by the specifications through proper supervision of work.
Coordinating with the consultant and subcontractors for the smooth running of works.
As each activity is completed, mark up the "Issued For Construction" drawings with relevant comments.
Preparation of the Method Statements.
Ensures review to the "red-line" drawings by QA/QC Engineers/nominees.
Full awareness and implementation of PQP.
Awareness and effective handling of the Employer's complaints (internal and external).
Reviewing and taking action as required on internal audit reports.
Verifying and ensuring that measuring and monitoring equipment is calibrated and well-maintained.
Awareness and implementation, and control of ITPs and PQP.
Coordinating daily site inspections.
Awareness and related actions in case of incidents/accidents and Near Misses.
Effective and regular planning of work in line with the Baseline/Target programmers.
Planning and executing the work to achieve the target's progress.
Ensuring that the materials, personnel, and plant are available on time for the execution of the work.
Preparing day work details, data related to subcontractor payment, and preparation of Employer payment valuation details.
Timely preparation of requisitions for the materials required at the site
Ensuring the implementation of all aspects of Project Inventory Control
