Key Responsibilities
- Team and Project Leadership: Hire, lead, and mentor a team of developers and technical staff. Manage their workload, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise all technical aspects of the ERP system, including development, implementation, and integration with other systems.
- Change Management: Oversee change management processes to ensure technical assurance and that changes to the ERP system are robust, secure, and cause minimal disruption.
- Strategic Development: Support the development and delivery of the future ERP strategy, often in collaboration with other senior management.
- Technical Assurance and Approval: Approve system changes to ensure they meet technical specifications and maintain system performance and stability.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including clients and internal divisions such as Cybersecurity and Architecture.
- Business Alignment: Ensure the ERP system aligns with business processes and goals to improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications Technical Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience as a programmer or developer, with in-depth knowledge of the specific ERP system being used (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) and associated programming languages (e.g., ABAP, PL/SQL, C#).Project Management: Strong project management abilities, including planning, budgeting, and managing timelines.Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and both verbal and written communication skills necessary to lead a team and interact effectively with various stakeholders.Problem-Solving: Proven ability to apply logic and deductive reasoning to solve complex technical problems independently.Business Acumen: Solid understanding of core business processes and how the ERP system supports them.Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Development, or a related IT field; however, extensive practical experience is often the key differentiator.
