Operations & Production Management:
- Supervise and manage daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and control the performance of machines, operators, and production lines.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production safety standards.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned stoppages.
2. Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and labor teams.
- Define performance goals and provide coaching, training, and motivation.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support staff development.
3. Quality Control & Compliance:
- Work closely with the QA/QC department to ensure consistent product quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental laws.
- Analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product trials and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
4. Cost Control & Efficiency:
- Manage operational budgets and control manufacturing costs.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy saving, and productivity improvement.
- Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, scrap rate, and cycle time.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation (materials, manpower, and equipment).
5. Strategic Planning & Improvement:
- Develop and execute strategies to improve factory capacity, quality, and profitability.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.
- Support capex planning for new machinery, technology upgrades, and automation.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams on process optimization and innovation.
6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Enforce compliance with safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions.
- Foster a culture of zero accidents and environmental responsibility.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Management.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in plastic manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of plastic production processes (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, film, etc.).
- Proven experience in production planning, factory operations, and team leadership.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
