Engineering Director

  • Lead and oversee the factory engineering functions and utility and maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures to drive operational excellence.
  • Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with production, quality assurance, and other departments to optimize product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop, monitor and control engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to inform executive decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects and operations.
  • Drive talent development initiatives, including recruitment, training, and performance management for engineering staff.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or electrical. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in the paints or chemical industry.5 years of experience in an engineering leadership or supervisory role.Proven ability to manage engineering teams and complex projects.Excellent organisational and project management skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engineering policies and procedures.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with budget management and resource allocation.Commitment to upholding safety and quality standards.
