Job Purpose
The Bakery & Pastry Purchasing Senior Specialist is responsible for sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers of bakery and pastry products to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability. The role supports the retail network by securing reliable supply chains and maintaining product standards aligned with company requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure a consistent supply of bakery and pastry items by identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers.
- Maintain cost efficiency through negotiation of prices, contracts, and payment terms.
- Monitor the quality and freshness of products in alignment with food safety standards and company requirements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new products, trends, and suppliers to enhance assortment.
- Support inventory planning by collaborating with logistics and store operations to avoid stock-outs or overstock.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company procurement policies.
Job SpecificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field.Minimum 5–7 years in procurement, with at least 2 years focused on bakery, pastry, or food products.Technical Knowledge in Bakery & Pastry.Skills:Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Knowledge of bakery & pastry product categories and food safety standards.Analytical and reporting skills for cost and market analysis.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
