- Record all inbound and outbound stock movements (receipts and issues) in the accounting system.
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods received notes (GRNs).
- Track damaged or expired inventory and allocate associated costs correctly.
- Prepare regular reports on stock movements and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Coordinate with storekeepers to ensure physical stock matches accounting records.
- Participate in periodic and surprise stock counts and analyze discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and report slow-moving or out-of-stock items.
- Prepare journal entries related to inventory transactions and post to the general ledger.
- Collaborate with the sales and distribution departments to reconcile inventory differences.
- Regularly update and verify item cost prices in coordination with the purchasing department.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in food distribution or FMCG companies.Good knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, etc.).Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
