Specific duties and responsibilities
Team management
- Manage & motivate a team of contract managers
- Set key performance indicators, clearly convey company objectives and initiatives to the team
- Set standards, grow and develop the commercial awareness of the team
- Constantly monitor performance, carry out appraisals and encourage feedback
- Have regular updates with the contracts managers, focusing on the key points to maximise revenue.
- Carry out pre- and post-business trip briefings, agree targets and analyse performance taking remedial action where required
Product/Hotel Management Working within company aims, contribute to the product mix of territories within the remit, identifying and delivering key ‘must have’ hotels Represent Bookntrvl at senior level amongst key hotel chain and partners in the region, developing close commercial relationships Be fully conversant with key procurement requirements in the region (channel managers, connectivity etc) Report to Head office regularly on key issues and opportunities for the business Take ownership of commercial relationship with hotels, liaising closely with other depts. such as operations and key accounts as issues and opportunities arise. Tasks Ensure continuity of product through timely contract renewals ensuring contracting trips are scheduled to hit targets for new and renewal hotels Regularly monitor competitor pricing and availability in line with demand, liaising with the yield team where relevant Advise on preferred partner hotels in the relevant destinations Ensure any standard/service level issues with suppliers are addressed and resolved as required Target workshops and trade shows, network to both to enhance the company's profile and to contract Register with relevant tourist boards and other associations to gain information and to increase company profile
