Purchase Specialist

  • Receive and review purchase requisitions from various departments, verifying completeness and accuracy.
  • Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services from local suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Evaluate supplier offers and conduct comparative analysis to support award decisions.
  • Maintain and update approved local vendor lists in coordination with the Procurement Manager.
  • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with company procedures and ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery; resolve discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and user departments for inspection, receiving, and storage of purchased items.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Support supplier performance evaluations and participate in corrective action discussions.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and health & safety regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.2–4 years of relevant experience in local purchasing or procurement in industrial, oil & gas, or engineering sectors.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software (ERP experience preferred).Knowledge of local market suppliers and regulatory requirements.
