Scope
The HR Director is responsible for leading and directing the Human Resources department to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business. This role involves strategic HR planning, developing organizational strategies, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment aligned with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. - Talent Acquisition & Management:
Oversee recruitment efforts, ensuring the right talent is sourced, hired, and retained across the company. - Employee Relations:
Foster a positive work environment by ensuring strong employee engagement and resolving employee relations issues promptly. - Performance Management:
Implement and oversee performance evaluation processes, ensuring clear KPIs and feedback systems are in place. - Learning & Development:
Design and deliver development programs that align with organizational needs, including training, leadership development, and career planning. - Compensation & Benefits:
Manage compensation structure and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and compliance with legal regulations. - Compliance & Policies:
Ensure the company adheres to legal HR standards and internal policies, managing employee contracts, leaves, grievances, and disciplinary matters. - HR Analytics & Reporting:
Utilize data and HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve workforce productivity.
Qualifications and SpecificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).Experience:Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the retail sector is a plus.Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Strategic thinker with a high level of emotional intelligence.Proven ability to develop HR systems, policies, and initiatives.Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
