Job Description:
- Develop and execute logistics and distribution strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead, monitor, and optimize all inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products across retail, wholesale, and service center channels.
- Oversee inventory movement, order fulfillment, and reverse logistics processes.
- Manage Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers, transport contracts, and distribution center operations.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service to align supply and demand.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for all logistics and transport activities.
Operations Management:
- Supervise warehouse, fleet, and logistics operations ensuring daily operational efficiency.
- Implement routing, scheduling, and tracking systems to optimize delivery performance.
- Maintain optimal stock levels at all distribution points.
- Utilize WMS, TMS, and ERP systems for real-time logistics visibility.
- Conduct regular operational audits and drive continuous improvement.
Financial Performance:
- Develop and manage the logistics and distribution budget.
- Control and reduce logistics costs per unit delivered.
- Monitor transportation and warehousing cost KPIs and optimize carrier/3PL contracts.
- Evaluate cost-benefit for in-house vs outsourced logistics models.
- Maximize resource utilization to enhance overall cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performance logistics and warehouse team.
- Set clear performance objectives and evaluate team productivity.
- Conduct training on safety, handling, systems use, and process improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and service excellence.
- Support succession planning and talent development.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure full compliance with all transport, customs, and warehousing regulations.
- Monitor adherence to safety and quality control standards.
- Maintain updated SOPs and implement Standard Quality System or equivalent best practices.
- Ensure all documents (invoices, customs, shipping, inventory) are complete and accurate.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and manage external inspections.
Relationship Management:
- Develop strong relationships with freight forwarders, customs authority, and logistics providers.
- Coordinate effectively with suppliers, retailers, and internal departments.
- Resolve delivery issues, delays, and service complaints efficiently.
- Negotiate service contracts and monitor SLA performance with 3PL partners
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering (master’s preferred).7–10 years of logistics/distribution experience in a fast-paced environment (preferably automotive).Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Proven experience in managing 3PLs, warehousing, transportation, and customs processes.Familiar with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), WMS, and TMS software.Proven experience in the automotive industry is a must.Strong knowledge of local/international logistics regulations and IncotermsStrong planning and organizational skills.Advanced Excel, data analysis, and reporting proficiency.Financial acumen for cost analysis and budgeting.Excellent communication and negotiation skills both in English and Arabic.Proficiency in logistics software and GPS fleet tracking systems.Key Attributes:Result-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.Resilient and adaptable to change under pressure.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.Leadership with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
