Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the procurement of marble, granite, and related materials, ensuring cost effective sourcing, timely delivery, and quality compliance to support ongoing production and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials (marble and granite) both locally and internationally.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers, quarries, and vendors to ensure reliability and quality of supply.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best possible terms.
- Coordinate with MRP, sales, projects and export teams to forecast demand and ensure material availability.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Manage and supervise the procurement team to meet KPIs and departmental goals.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventories, and delivery information.
- Evaluate stock levels and coordinate with warehouse to prevent overstocking or material shortage.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 5–7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the raw materials or construction materials industry.Experience in dealing with international suppliers and logistics.Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software ( Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)Fluent in English; additional languages (Italian, French, Turkish, Spanish) are a plus.
