Procurement Sourcing Senior Specialist - Pharmaceutical Industry


We are seeking an experienced Procurement Sourcing Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in managing and overseeing sourcing activities related to research and development, with a specific focus on CTD (Common Technical Document), DMF (Drug Master Files), and other critical documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in procurement processes within the pharmaceutical industry and will work closely with R&D teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing and procurement of materials, services, and vendors for research and development projects, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from identifying potential suppliers to contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to understand project needs and align procurement strategies with the development timeline and goals.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, including CTD, DMF, and related documentation.
  • Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Provide market insights and industry trends to the R&D team to support decision-making processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with quality control, regulatory affairs, and other departments to ensure that sourced materials and services meet compliance and quality standards.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and prices while maintaining strong, long-term supplier relationships.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance and suggest improvements in sourcing strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences , Science  or Supply Chain Management.Proven experience (from 2 to 4 years) in procurement sourcing within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically working with R&D teams.In-depth knowledge of CTD, DMF files, and regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical sourcing.Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s sourcing and supply chain processes.Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver results on time.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to compliance.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
