Site Supervision:
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems.
- Ensure all MEP works are executed in compliance with the approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor the progress of MEP work on-site and ensure that it aligns with the project schedule.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues or delays.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines (civil, structural, etc.) to ensure proper integration of MEP systems.
- Provide technical guidance to workers and subcontractors to resolve issues during the installation process.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Perform regular inspections of the MEP installations to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ensure that the materials used comply with project specifications and quality standards.
- Review and approve subcontractor’s work in line with contract requirements and design specifications.
Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve technical problems on-site related to MEP systems during the installation phase.
- Work proactively to avoid potential delays or issues by resolving any technical challenges immediately.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain daily site reports, tracking the progress of MEP work and any issues encountered.
- Prepare as-built drawings and submit progress reports to the project manager.
- Ensure proper documentation for testing, inspections, and commissioning is completed.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site related to MEP works.
- Monitor the implementation of safety protocols and ensure that workers follow safety procedures when installing MEP systems.
- Take proactive measures to address any potential safety hazards on-site.
Testing and Commissioning:
- Conduct and supervise the testing and commissioning of all MEP systems to ensure proper functioning and performance.
- Coordinate with the commissioning team to verify that systems are operating as per design specifications and meet the required standards.
- Prepare testing documentation and provide necessary reports after commissioning.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to report on the progress of MEP installation and resolve any concerns.
- Ensure that client specifications and requirements are met, and provide solutions when necessary.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.Experience: 3-10 years of experience as an MEP site engineer in construction or building projects.Skills:In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.Strong experience with project management software and tools.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.Knowledge of safety and quality standards related to MEP work.Desired Attributes:Ability to work independently and in a team.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
