• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze the trial balance to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Construction-Specific Accounting:
• Apply expertise in construction accounting standards and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, work-in-progress (WIP), and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and track project progress, budgets, and forecasts.
3. Audit and Compliance:
• Support year-end financial audits and ensure compliance with internal and external financial controls.
• Ensure adherence to tax laws, VAT, and other construction-related financial regulations.
4. Process Improvement and KPI Monitoring:
• Assess current accounting practices and recommend improvements.
• Set up and monitor accounting KPIs to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage and develop the accounting team by setting goals, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.
• Foster a culture of adherence to standards and continuous improvement within the team.
6. Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:
• Perform ad hoc analyses and financial projects as requested by senior management.
• Provide insights into cash flow, cost control, and profitability.
