Account Manager

  • Administer strategy(sales, marketing, pricing) budgets, forecast and financial objectives in agreement with the head of Business unit.
  • Follow the instructions of the head of business unit regarding the sales strategy and approach, deployment of the product portfolio and development of white spaces and opportunities.
  • Monitor customers' needs, competitor activity and product development.
  • Keep track of sales figures and trends with the aim of achieving the budget and the set targets.
  • keep track of customer receivables and ensure on time payment.
  • Visit accounts monthly.
  • Offer technical support to the customer if possible.
  • Prospect continually for potential customers.
  • Introduction of new products.
  • Undertake market updates/studies and keep updated client profiles.
  • Monitor and manage continually the needs, availability, and proper level of stocks of materials.
  • Liaise with the suppliers on technical and purchasing matters with the aim of boosting sales and prepare reports for the supplier as requested.
  • Present new ideas, identity new business opportunities and prepare  if accepted by top management the respective marketing plans and budgets.
  • Supervise product specifications and quality as expected by the customers and give feedback to the head of business unit.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales/development reports for all interactions with customers and suppliers. Prepare other reports as and when needed.

It is preferable that the candidates have relevant experience in the requested fields (food and plastic additives (separately) - PVC - PE)University degree in Chemistry or chemical engineering, with min 5-7 years of experience sales in required field.Practical knowledge of marketing plans and strategies.Principles of sales, negotiation and promotion.Results and people oriented.Ability to analyse, interpret and use data in decision making.Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible.Good reasoning, sound judgement and problem solving abilities.
