Sales Engineer – Systems and Instruments

ASSET is seeking a dynamic, motivated, results-driven and skilled sales engineer to manage and grow the sales of instruments and monitoring/ protection systems within the Egyptian market. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with sales expertise to support clients in industries such as O&G, Manufacturing, and Utilities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Sales Activities:
    • As this role is outdoor sales, proven ability to travel (90% on road – 10% at office).
    • Proven excellent customer relationship in Egyptian market major EPC contractors, Systems Integrators, Engineering consultancy, O&M Providers, End-Users.
    • Effective communication skills and cooperation with all business stakeholders inside and outside the company.
    • Identify, target, and engage prospective customers in industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, aerospace, and energy.
    • Proven ability to manage sales forecast, sales funnel, and sales opportunities.
    • Proven ability to manage complex sales, negotiation skills, and closing deals.
    • Proven ability to structure creative commercially and technically sound quality deals as well as fully manage associated contractual and technical issues.
    • Build a sustainable business diversified between multiple kinds of business and multiple customer sectors.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Present and demonstrate inspection and calibration solutions to potential clients.
    • Proven understanding customer needs to determine technical solution, addressing technical inquiries effectively, and assisting customers in selecting the right solutions according their application needs.
    • Co-operation with all team members to insure smooth delivery and perfect fulfillment.
    • Proven ability to develop new market sectors, customers, and applications.
    • Support marketing events, seminars, business travel inside and outside Egypt.
  • Market Research:
    • Monitor market trends and identify business opportunities within the Egyptian market.
    • Gather competitive intelligence to support strategic sales planning.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, accurate sales forecasts, and requested activity reports.
    • Proven ability to use enterprise systems ERP / CRM.

Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, Mechatronics, Energy, or Petroleum Engineering.Experience:3–5 years in sales of instruments and monitoring/ protection systems in the Egyptian market.Technical Knowledge:Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Functional Safety Systems and components (FS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Fire and Gas Safety Systems (F&G), Cybersecurity solution (CS), and Process enterprise software solutions.Functional Safety Certificate is a plus.Skills:Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them to non-technical clients.Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage client accounts effectively.Fluent English, written and spoken.
