The Senior IT Specialist ensures the smooth operation, security, and efficiency of an organization's IT infrastructure. They are often called upon to solve complex technical problems, implement innovative solutions, and safeguard sensitive information.
- System Administration:
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Perform system installations, upgrades, and configurations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement security measures to protect IT assets.
- Network Engineering:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
- Configure network security policies and protocols.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Respond to help desk tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
- Document and resolve technical issues.
- Support the team with the systems they are using such as Zoho.
- Security:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Implement security best practices and policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
