As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize critical systems and provide technical support to enhance the reliability and performance of our technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Design & Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy complex IT systems, networks, and infrastructure components.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements for scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve system issues and provide support for hardware, software, and network-related problems.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including software developers and network engineers, to ensure integration and compatibility of systems.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard systems against cyber threats.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Backup & Recovery: Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a System Engineer, IT Engineer, or similar role in system administration and infrastructure management.Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, etc.) and containerization.Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, etc.).Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex system issues quickly.Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.Familiarity with monitoring tools like APM, CLOUDWATCH, Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
