One (01) Agro-socio-economist

Qualifications:

·        hold a degree in agronomy, rural economics or a related field (Bachelor)

·        At least eight (08) years of confirmed experience in agro-economic analysis of rural development projects and hydro-agricultural infrastructure.

Ø Experience in Africa is required, with at least one (01) project carried out in West Africa in the hydro-agricultural sector.

·        Must have contributed to the implementation of two (02) agro- hydraulic development projects , focusing on technical and socio-economic aspects, such as the management of natural resources, the profitability of production systems and the improvement of living conditions in rural communities

·        Fluent in French, both orally and in writing.

·        Missions and responsibilities will include:

Ø Carrying out agro-socio-economic studies to assess the needs of farmers and the impacts of the project on their production.

Ø Analysis of agricultural production systems and water resource management practices.

Ø Formulating recommendations to improve the profitability and sustainability of agricultural practices.

Ø Establishing mechanisms for participation of farmers and communities in the project.

Ø Writing technical reports and presenting results to stakeholders, with emphasis on the socio-economic benefits of the interventions.

 


One (01) Hydrologist.

Qualifications: -

·        Hold a degree in hydrology, water sciences or a related field (Bachelor)

·        At least eight (08) years of proven experience in the study of water resources and the management of hydraulic systems, particularly in the context of hydro-agricultural projects

·        Experience in Africa is required, with at least one (01) project carried out in West Africa.

·        Must have contributed to the implementation of two (02) hydraulic infrastructure or water resources management projects, focusing on the technical aspects related to hydrology and water resources management

·        He must be fluent in French, both orally and in writing

·        Missions and responsibilities will include:

Ø Carrying out hydrological studies to assess available water resources and irrigation needs.

Ø Analysis of flow regimes, watersheds and impacts of climate change on water resources.

Ø Designing water management systems to optimize irrigation and minimize losses.

Ø The formulation of recommendations for the protection of water resources and the sustainability of agricultural practices.

Ø Drafting technical reports and presenting results to stakeholders, with emphasis on integrated water resources management within the project.

One (01) Hydrogeologist.

Qualifications:

·        hold a degree in hydrogeology, water sciences or a related field (Bachelor)

·        At least eight (08) years of proven experience in the study of groundwater resources and their management, particularly in the context of hydro-agricultural projects.

·        Experience in Africa is required, with at least one (01) project carried out in West Africa

·        He must have participated in the implementation of two (02) projects related to the exploitation or management of groundwater resources, focusing on the technical aspects of hydrogeology.

·        Fluent in French, both orally and in writing

·        Missions and responsibilities will include:

Ø Carrying out hydrogeological studies to assess the quality and quantity of groundwater resources available for irrigation.

Ø Analysis of aquifers, including their recharge, decline and the impacts of human activities on these resources.

Ø Design of drilling and pumping systems to optimize the use of groundwater in agriculture.

Ø Formulation of recommendations for the protection of aquifers and the sustainable management of groundwater resources.

Ø Writing technical reports and presenting results to stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of integrated water resources management for project success.
