Purchasing Specialist

  • Analyze purchase requisitions from project sites to identify the required items, services, and technical specifications and communicate with project site representatives to better understand their needs, priorities, and any specific requirements.
  • Obtain competitive price quotes from qualified suppliers through effective communication and negotiation, analyze and compare price quotes to ensure the best possible value for money for the project sites and negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders for approved materials and services and track the status of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential suppliers through online sources, databases, and industry networks to better evaluate them based on a range of factors, including price, quality, experience, reliability, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, materials, and services that may be beneficial for the project sites.
  • Update the supplier database with the latest information on materials, services, and the performance of existing suppliers.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or any related field+7 years of experience in purchasing in the contracting field.A previous experience in the Contracting field is a MUST specifically in purchasing Infrastructure materials (Electro mechanic materials).Excellent negotiation skillsExperienced in using MS Office apps.
