Job Purpose: Increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock controlling and costing through tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits, maintaining reports of purchasing, and pricing.
Job Specifications:
Duty 1. Industrial / Production Costing: -
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system that ensures accurate costing.
- Plan, study and collect data to determine direct & indirect costs of business activities, cost drives, cost pools such as raw materials (foreign & local), finished products, purchasing invoices, shipping documents, inventory stock, labor cost per product, overheads rate per product and other operations.
- Set standard costs of manufactured goods, review and analyze standard versus actual costs to report any variances that might arise.
- Ensure that the Bill Of Materials for each product are same as standard and then approve the release of raw materials of each job order.
- Determine the Cost of Goods Sold per Product, Project & Sales Order and prepare a comparison of revenue versus cost.
- Prepare costing reports & the monthly closing with the reconciliation entries.
Duty 2. Stock Controlling: -
- Follow up on imported purchase orders and processes, ensure system is up to date with stock levels and note any discrepancies upon receipt of shipments.
- Manage the local inventory system by processing change of prices and change of season transactions.
- Manage and maintain the updated balance and database with materials and products inventory including stock profiles and stock locations.
- Ensure incoming products are receipted and managed appropriately according to company’s procedures.
- Administrate cost of importing plans and compare it with actual results to identify, explain, and highlight variances as appropriate.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory counts, analyze results, book-to-physical reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve issues through use of root-cause analysis.
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to ensure products status upon delivery and storage conditions.
- Ensure proper implementation of policies and procedures for inventory transactions.
- Enter purchase details (vendors’ information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
Duty 3. Reporting: -
- Maintain stock analysis reports for warehouses.
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance.
- Produce weekly reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
- Generate regular reports and analyses on inventory performance, including stock turnover rates, carrying costs, and obsolete inventory provisions, and provide insights and recommendations to management.
