  1. Knows the market and seeks constant information about changes (prices, products available, etc.). Knows all importing procedures, purchasing dispositions and receiving procedures
  2. Has to purchase the best quality of goods available (according to the management) at the best price possible, Compares quality and prices permanently between the suppliers. Maintains regular contact with his/her colleagues of other properties in the area for information exchange& is responsible to get at least 3 quotations on each purchase request.
  3. Compares quality and prices permanently between the suppliers. Maintains regular contact with his/her colleagues of other properties in the area for information exchange. Is responsible to get at least 3 quotations on each purchase request& to issue a monthly price overview for daily market items.
  4. Keeping of the filing cabinet with all information such as supplier, price, quantity, etc. constantly up-dated.
  5. Places only orders where a duly signed purchase request from the Cost Control Department. 
  6. Samples of goods he/she has to pass to the involved departments.
  7. Works close together with the storekeeper and ensures store space of delivered goods and dispositions of goods& needed goods are delivered in time.
  8. Keeps the management constantly informed about all happenings in the market concerning the business& Goes personally to the markets to be aware of shortages, recent price changes and seasonal situations.
  9. Is not allowed to take any commissions, personal advantages or gifts offered by any supplier.
  10. Co-ordination and information with the other related Department Heads. 
  11. Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all his/her staff and delivers a monthly consolidated summary to the HR department.
  12. He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Quality Standards for his/her field of responsibility.
  13. Conducts skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis (on the job training).
  14. Other duties as assigned by the management.
