Job Description

Due to the continuing success and growth of our team, this fantastic opportunity has opened up at our award-winning specialist consultancy, engineering and advisory firm.

At AESG we are looking for a Facade Designer to support the Facade division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of façade design. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating technical engineering solutions and a willingness to work across multiple large-scale projects.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Façade Designer seeking a position within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering that provides a significant opportunity for progression and career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and execution of projects to a high level of quality within projects deadlines
  • Developing system drawings and specifications with supervision
  • Proven competence and technical expertise in façade design
  • Preparation of RIBA stage reports during project design
  • Developing BMU strategies during the project design
  • Guiding junior team members within the project team
  • Assisting in preparing proposals and quotations for new opportunities
  • Seek opportunities for repeat work and extension of work scope on projects


Essential Skills:

  • BSc or MSc in Architecture or similar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of façade design and engineering experience
  • Proven depth of knowledge in façade design
  • Be able to work successfully in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Be able to independently represent AESG
  • Understand AESGs liabilities and interests of various stakeholders within the project
  • Be able to participate in the general business development and cultivate new and existing client contacts
