1. Education:
- Bachelor degree in Computer engineering or Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Security certifications such as (F5 , Fortinet , paloalto , Cisco , Forcepoint ,..).
2. Experience:
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer, preferably with at least 5 years in the field.
- Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing security controls.
- Experience with conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs) for different security controls.
Technical experience:In-depth knowledge of security technologies across various domains, including network security, application security, endpoint security, and data securityPractical experience with network design, implementation, and maintenance.Robust knowledge in using security tools such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption tools , web gateway , WAF , LTM , Mail gateway , DB security , VPN ,NAC,Sandbox,...etcIn depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP)Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).Understanding of emerging secuity trends and technologies such as (containerization security , zero trust , cloud security, DevSecOps)Good knowledge about switching and routing concepts with a considerable hands on experience.Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve network issues.Familiarity with best practices for securing web application and APIs architecture, frameworks, and technologies.Familiar with different capabilities of security controls, such as Antivirus , Antimalware , CDR, sandbox ,… and ability to tailor use cases and testing scenarios for testing such technologies.Ability to document network design and doing capacity sizing and planning for existing infrastructure .
