- Sourcing Management Assistance:
- Support the identification and validation of potential contract manufacturers. o Participate in capability assessment processes and audits, ensuring thorough evaluation and selection of the best options.
- Contract Management Assistance:
- Aid in establishing Confidentiality Agreements, Letters of Intent, and Contract Manufacturing Agreements.
- Assist in price negotiations under the leadership of the co-manufacturing manager.
- Ensure timely review and renewal of Contract Manufacturing Agreements.
- Project Management:
- Help create and maintain the portfolio of contract manufacturers based on business needs. o Assist in defining contract manufacturers' segmentation and building appropriate sourcing relationships.
- Support the successful industrialization of products to be outsourced. o Participate in strategic meetings with internal stakeholders to align Contract Manufacturing with business strategies.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for outsourcing projects, ensuring expenses stay within agreed limits.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Lead regular meetings with contract manufacturers to assess performance against agreed scorecards/KPIs (production capacity, line efficiency, quality, cost, and service).
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop action plans to close performance gaps.
- Help quality team to comply with Quality Assurance standards:
- Ensure adherence to CAPI principles, policies, and local laws and regulations. o Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and regulatory requirements for all products manufactured.
- Assist in monitoring key quality parameters using statistical process control to drive continuous improvement and achieve zero defects.
- Support the co-manufacturer management review of quality (MRQ).
- Capacity Planning and Coordination:
- Review mid- and long-term capacity plans based on latest demand planning. o Develop and implement action plans to manage demand and supply imbalances. o Coordinate responsibilities with other markets in case of contract manufacturers serving multiple markets.
- Exit Management:
- Ensure protocols for exit management as agreed in the Contract Manufacturing Agreement are followed.
- Manage phases of exiting contracts, ensuring service, quality, and cost requirements are met.
- Resolve critical issues arising from handover processes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, agriculture or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. FMCG is a mustCertifications: Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
