- Meeting with the design and marketing teams to discuss packaging specifications.
- Evaluating market trends and analyzing similar packaging designs.
- Brainstorming packaging ideas using hand sketches, words and design software.
- Doing packaging designs according represent the company’s brands and ethos.
- Selecting functional ideas and creating packaging mock-ups.
- Identifying suitable packaging materials.
- Owns packaging adaptations including re-design, pack re-size, on-pack text changes etc.
- Collaborating with graphic designers and marketers to finalize packaging text and graphics.
- Designs various POSM materials such as leaflets, flyers, vouchers, catalogues etc.
- Adapts designs for E-com banners, outdoor design (billboards, lamp posts) etc.
- Creates 3D pack shots.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, applied arts and fine arts.5 to 8 years of experience in professional graphic design, with 3 years preferably in a FMCG business/ creative or marketing agencyProven experience working as a packaging designer, Brand design and manipulation design.High level of creativity and innovative design skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamProficient in Photoshop, InDesign and illustrator.3D design software is plus.Natural talent for design and a keen eye for detail.Familiarity with various packaging materials.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
