Key Responsibilities: - Editing and reviewing news and reports prior to publication. - Rewriting journalistic materials and drafting main and sub-headlines. - Proofreading for grammar, syntax, and spelling. - Verifying the accuracy of information, data, and sources. - Following up on breaking news and economic developments and preparing them for publication. - Ensuring adherence to the editorial policy and content quality standards. Requirements: - Previous experience in journalism and editing, preferably in a desk editor role. - Previous experience with a news website specializing in economic affairs is preferred, or experience with a general news website with direct responsibility for editing and following up on economic news. - Strong knowledge of economic and financial affairs and continuous follow-up on major developments. - Excellent Arabic language, editing, rewriting, and proofreading skills. - Ability to write accurate and engaging journalistic headlines. - Speed in handling news and working under time pressure. - Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team. - Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), with familiarity with SEO basics preferred.
