Role Description The Senior Infrastructure BIM Engineer will lead the development and coordination of BIM models for infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards. Responsibilities include managing model setup, geometry, and data, overseeing clash detection and coordination between disciplines, and producing detailed drawings and documentation. The role involves collaborating closely with design engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to align BIM outputs with project requirements and timelines. The Senior Infrastructure BIM Engineer will also contribute to BIM standards development, mentor junior team members, and support implementation of best practices and new technologies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. Qualifications Strong experience with BIM authoring and coordination tools for infrastructure projects (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, Infra Works, Navisworks, or similar). Proficiency in infrastructure design workflows, including roads, utilities, drainage, and related civil engineering components. Ability to manage and maintain complex BIM models, including version control, data integrity, and model structure. Experience performing clash detection, model coordination across disciplines, and resolving design conflicts. Knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and naming conventions (e.g., ISO 19650 or similar frameworks). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality in documentation. Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams and external partners. Ability to mentor and guide junior BIM staff, sharing best practices and supporting skill development. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; advanced BIM certifications are an advantage. Experience in infrastructure projects in Egypt or the Middle East region is a plus, along with familiarity with local codes and standards.
